The Story of Heartstone Farm

Heartstone Farm was shaped slowly and naturally through life with the animals themselves — creating a place grounded in connection, simplicity, and the peaceful rhythm of the countryside.

The seed of Heartstone Farm

Heartstone Farm began simply — with a deep love for animals and a quiet life shared alongside them in the Vermont countryside.

Over time, our family of animals grew naturally. First came the Border Collies, Bear and Buck, whose instinctive talent for herding led to the arrival of a small flock of sheep: Tulip, Iris, Lilly, and Lou. Later came Foxy, whose playful spirit quickly became part of the rhythm of life at the homestead. Life on the farm gradually unfolded around the animals — from handmade wool ornaments to photography inspired by the landscape, seasons, and quiet beauty of Woodstock.

Robert and Cora's story

Then came Robert and Cora.

Rescued from severe neglect while still very young, the two arrived fragile and deeply bonded to one another. Robert’s recovery was uncertain in the beginning, yet with time, care, and patience, both animals slowly regained their strength. Today, their calm presence and unmistakable connection have become central to the peaceful atmosphere that defines Heartstone Farm..

What began as a private life shared with beloved animals gradually evolved into something more profound.

A unique connection experience

At Heartstone Farm, the animals are free to simply be themselves. Their curiosity, intelligence, and quiet presence shape an experience that feels natural, personal, and far removed from a traditional farm visit.

"Life at Heartstone Farm is shaped around the animals, who are deeply loved members of the family".
